What You Need to Know
Infant Car Seats
Use a rear-facing car seat:
• to at least age 1 or up to 22 lbs.
Or
• as specified in the instruction manual
Convertible Seat
Cheap car seats that can be used in either the forward-facing or rear facing position when your child meets all of the following:
• your child is between 5 and 65 lbs.
• your child is under 50” tall
Or
• as specified in the instruction manual
Booster Seats (car seat for big kids)
A booster seat can be used when your child meets all of the following:
• your child out grows your current car seat’s height and weight limits
• your child’s shoulders are above your current car seat’s top harness slots
• the tops of your child’s ears are above the top of your current car seat
